We are currently looking for field technicians at all levels of expertise interested in growing with our expanding team. The field technician is directly responsible for the installation of renewable energy and heating systems.  This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Weaverville, NC office.

Job Responsibilities and Skills Needed
•           Install all system components according to manufacturer specifications and Sundance Power Systems standards
•           Maintain a clean and orderly job site
•           Ensure that tools are used safely and appropriately
•           Be presentable and carry oneself in a professional manner
•           Must have strong time management and organizational skills
•           Must demonstrate integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision-making skills
•           Mechanical aptitude

Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and/or renewable energy, a plus, but not required. You must have a valid driver license and the ability to safely operate company vehicles with trailers attached. This position requires working at heights and in the outside environment; you must be able to lift 70 lbs. Good customer service skills and clean driving record are required.

We are currently looking for qualified and motivated Service technicians interested in growing with our expanding team.  The Service technician will be part of a team installing and servicing a wide variety of photovoltaic, solar hot water, and heating systems. This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Weaverville, NC office.

•           Troubleshooting Renewable energy and Heating systems
•           Maintain a clean and orderly job site
•           Ensure that tools are used safely and appropriately
•           Be presentable and carry oneself in a professional manner
•           Must have strong time management and organizational skills
•           Must demonstrate integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision-making skills
•           Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting methods

Applicants should have experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or construction fields and proficiency in proper troubleshooting techniques. HVAC or Plumbing license is a plus but not required. You must have a valid driver license and the ability to safely operate company vehicles with trailers attached. This position requires working at heights and in the outside environment; you must be able to lift 70 lbs. Good customer service skills and clean driving record are required.  Technical AAS or military experience a plus.

Pay based on experience.

Solar Design/Estimate Coordinator:

Overview:

The Design/Estimate Coordinator (DEC) is a central position at Sundance, reporting to the General Manager and overseeing the design of solar PV, solar thermal, radiant floor heating and other renewable energy systems. The DEC’s primary objective is to provide commercial, residential and bid work sales with accurate estimates, design schematics, and drawings. The DEC also plays the critical role of staying current with new developments in all applicable codes, components & related technology. The DEC position will include training and quality control activities in the field.

Job Qualifications:

 3-4 years of experience with and knowledge of Renewable Energy and/or Hydronic Heating Systems designs, the associated components, code issues and installation experience is required. Advanced computer literacy of MS Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) Helioscope plus internet research skills are required. Experience with CAD software a plus. 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to visualize over the phone, or through pictures, to design systems or trouble-shoot issues from field
  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess the importance of a phone call, email, or document and take appropriate action to involve the appropriate people
  • Self-motivation and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, sound judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
