Customer Service/Administrative Assistant 

This position serves a critical support role in our office operations and requires an enthusiastic and reliable team player.  Customer Service responsibilities include welcoming new contacts to Sundance (on phone as well as in person) and receiving and handling Service calls. In addition, a variety of administrative support responsibilities, including assisting with permitting and interconnection applications, processing incoming invoices, expense reports, and employee time sheets,.

Candidates should be personable, positive, and well-spoken, and have exceptional organizational  and data entry skills, along with an understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in Office programs, including Excel, as well as customer relations management and accounting software is essential. The ability to work in a dynamic office environment is important. Knowledge of solar energy technologies is helpful, but not required.

Renewable Energy Crew Leader

Crew leaders provide guidance for field technicians and serve as job site manager for our residential and commercial installations. Experience in renewable energy systems, electrical, plumbing and/or construction trades preferred. Crew Leaders will exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, and must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Renewable Energy Field Technicians

Field Technicians are responsible for the installation photovoltaic, solar thermal and radiant floor  heating systems. Experience in renewable energy systems, electrical, plumbing and/or construction trades a plus. Technicians will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies and must be driven to learn about them all. On the job training is provided in electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills. Technicians must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Renewable Energy Service Technician

Service technicians  are responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of photovoltaic, solar hot water, and boiler heating systems. Applicants should have experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or construction fields, as well as proficiency in proper diagnostic techniques. Good customer service skills, a clean driving record and valid driver’s license required. Technical AAS or military exp preferred but not required.


The Designer’s primary function is to support the Lead Designer through performing design and estimating duties on residential and commercial projects. This includes developing sketch-ups and templates for Sundance’s renewable energy and hydronic heating systems. The Designer will need to stay current with new developments in all applicable codes, components and technologies  as guided by the Lead Designer.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in the solar energy industry and/or solar energy coursework.  A working knowledge of solar energy & hydronic heating systems, the associated components, code issues & installation experience is recommended, but not required. Advanced computer MS Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills are required, as are internet research skills. Recommended/preferred software experience is primarily Trimble (Google) Sketch-up; experience with software such as AutoCAD, TurboCAD, and Adobe Illustrator would be helpful but is not required.  NABCEP certification is preferred.

Candidate must have strong time management and organizational skills, willingness and ability to multi-task, and have avid attention to detail, along with strong math and analytical skills. Self-motivation and ability to grasp new concepts quickly are critical.
